Hey, I tried downloading Dichotomy but it just crashes after a few moments after selecting Play from the launcher.

I tried running as admin, accepting SmartScreen for both Dichotomy.exe and Dichotomy Launcher.exe but no go.

APP.log is 0 Bytes and HAZEL.log has 102 lines of Creating descriptor set but the last line is truncated:

I kind of have an odd setup, I'm running a laptop with two internal GPUs (RTS 3050 TI Laptop, Intel Iris Xe Graphics) and an eGPU connected with TB4 (RTX 2080).

I thought maybe the eGPU was causing issues so I tried with just the two internal GPUs (configured to use Nvidia) and it didn't work there either. 


I double-checked and both the Intel and Nvidia drivers are current.

I had the same issue with launcher crashing but game started.
On the other hand I had like 2FPS. 500ms frame time according to radeon. Had to force close. GPU usage was 100% but very long time frame.
I set everything then low/off and scaled to 0.25 but the same issue.

There where some errors about sound, but sound worked well in game.

Had the same issue on 1650 GPU laptop. I checked GPU drivers and it said that it's on the latest version. But then I decided to try something. I was always using nVidia control panel for configuring my GPU settings but this time I opened GeForce Experience that I forgot my laptop has installed. And there was GeForce Game Ready Driver update. After installing it the game worked without a problem.

Well I don't have an Nvidia GPU my potato only has an integrated intel GPU

The same for me. I have an Intel UHD with a vulkan driver version 1.2.131.

But update it then? Intel has update driver manager: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

Can’t run the game, it opens, cursor switches to the busy cursor and closes after 1 second.

All I see is a GLFW message window that appears on the top left corner of the screen for like 1 second

It looks like it doesn’t find ucrtbase.dll file…is it in C:/Windows/System32?

But the file is there 👀

I couldn’t find any logs as well

Yup, double checked that I am on the latest drivers. Also, tested on a friends machine running 1650 and it fails there as well. I was able to run Forest without any problem though.

Hmm, that's kinda strange. We've updated the game with some other fixes, maybe try latest?
