Genesis C++!

STORY:

This is a remake of a game I originally made for Ludum Dare 24 in August 2012, back when I was just starting my programming journey, 17 years old and balancing Ludum Dare with my final year of high school!

I thought I would remake this ~amazing~ game in April 2024 in C++ using raylib, as a little nostalgic trip down memory lane and to turn into a fun video. FUN FACT: I used JetBrains CLion for the first time for this little project! And it took around 12 hours of live streaming to get this done!

In this version, there are no differences to the original Java version, except for the mob lighting bug being fixed and a different font for the UI.

HOW TO PLAY:

You have 5 minutes to create the largest population you can! See if you can find the females around the island to help with that ;)

CONTROLS:

- WASD/arrow keys to walk and navigate menus

- Escape to go back to main menu

- Enter/space to accept menu option
